Stone Choral Society

Stone Choral Society needed a website that reflected their love of music and community, while making it easy for audiences and potential members to find what they need. Thunderhat designed and built a site that puts upcoming concerts, past performances and membership details within a click or two.

The brief

The choir's old site was hard to update and buried key information. They wanted a clean, welcoming design that would help them promote concerts across Staffordshire, attract new members and keep existing members informed.

Preparation

We started by mapping the main tasks visitors come to the site for: checking concert dates, finding out how to join, and contacting the committee. We also reviewed how the site would be managed day to day, so the choir could update events without technical help.

The work

Design and build

We created a responsive site with a warm, musical feel. The homepage highlights the next performance, with clear links to the full concert diary, membership information and contact details.

Content and structure

We reorganised the content so each page has a single purpose. Concert listings include date, venue, programme and ticket information. The membership section explains what to expect at rehearsals and how to get in touch.

Ongoing care

Since launch, we have provided website care and updates. The choir can add new concerts and news through a simple editor, and we handle technical maintenance and backups.

The result

The new site gives Stone Choral Society a professional online presence that matches their standing in the local music scene. Visitors can find concert details in seconds, and the choir can manage the site themselves. The site has been live since 2019 and continues to serve the Society as they grow.
